Women’s Masters Competitive 4-Day Sweep 2016 Recap

Women’s Masters Competitive 4-Day Sweep 2016 Recap

*Registration for the 2017 season opens on March 6. While we excitedly wait for the new season to begin, we will be taking an opportunity to look back on highlights from the 2016 season. Thanks to Pamela Zitron for this recap of the Women’s Masters Competitive 4-Day Sweep team’s season!

2016 saw the inauguration of the 4-Day Competitive Women’s program. The program was designed for women who have at least 2 years of experience on the water. Our goals were to train and grow into a team. We competed in fours, 8s and quads in the following sprint and head races:

Stonewall
Row for the Cure
Occoquan Masters Sprints
Diamond States
Wye Island Octuple
Head of the Potomac
Occoquan Challenge
Occoquan Chase
Head of the Schuylkill

This was a building year. We look forward to a new coach that will continue our forward momentum.
