Brian Comey
Brian is excited to return home to Alexandria after spending four years as the varsity coxswain for the Mercyhurst University Lightweight Men. He grew up coxing for T.C. Williams, Old Dominion Boat Club, and TBC. Having coached for the Alexandria youth summer program and the “Late Risers,” Brian looks forward to working with a more competitive sweep program.

Lori Criado

Lori Criado came to ACR in 2006 after rowing at Penn State University. After several years competing with the Women’s 5 Day team and coaching high school sweep teams, she moved to the dark side (aka sculling) and has since become mainly a single sculler. She enjoys raising three little children in her spare time.

Stephanie Patton

Following four years of rowing at the University of Kansas, Stephanie joined ACR in 2005 as a member of the women’s competitive sweep team. Over the past decade, she has continued to enjoy competing with ACR and has spent time coaching at National Cathedral School, Old Dominion Boat Club, TC Williams High School, and ACR.

Jaime has an impressive rowing history with so many medals over so many years we could not possibly name them all! He is a fixture in the rowing community. He is also an artisan! Rubini’s Jewelry is well known for his distinctive rowing designs.

Joanna Rubini was born to 2 rowers – so she could scarcely avoid being one herself. She rowed at TC Williams & Brown University.  And now enjoys the maverick life of a single sculler…

Brenda Waltz

Brenda joined ACR in 2011 as a member of the women’s four day sweep program. She started rowing in Jacksonville, Florida, over 25 years ago and has been a member of and competed with several rowing clubs in Florida, New Jersey, and Virginia. She previously coached with the Garfield Crew Program and now coaches the Novice Sculling and Sculling I programs.

Alan Weatherley
Men’s Competitive Sweep

Alan Weatherley has been associated with ACR for sixteen years. Before turning to coaching he rowed with ACR’s Competitive Men’s Sweep program. Alan is also head women’s coach for West Potomac High School. For the past eight years he has been part of ACR’s administration serving as Dockmaster Programs.
